About Central Ohio Friends of a Feather
We are a casual group that really enjoy the company of our birds, family friends and other pets. We highly support rescue and adoption for placement of birds that are already in homes that need a new home due to unforseen circumstances, we all understand life happens. As a group we are here to aid with any questions that anyone may have and if the question is not answered by one of us we will send you to the right place to get it.
We are come as you are bunch. Enjoy opening new doors with your companion bird and meet some really amazing people and the many stories we have.
We would like to be able to meet from time to time to put a human face behind the bird. Have fun, ask questions, help others, make new friends and just enjoy!
We are often called upon to find forever homes for well loved fids, due to various circumstances. We understand giving up your bird is a difficult decision and we always offer advice for ways the bird can remain with its current human. When that is not possible, we encourage anyone thinking of surrendering the bird, to come visit with us. We want parronts to realize we will always be about what's best for the bird. We will be happy to explain our adoption process and allow anyone to come visit with the birds currently in our care, giving you piece of mind during a very difficult decision. We want you to feel comfortable in your decision and know your bird is in good hands.
If you would like to help our organization out, you can do so in many ways:
Become a Foster Parront!
Donate items like safe, unused bird toys, cages, stands, feeding dishes, perches, Nutritional Seed and Pellets, Fresh Fruits and Veggies.
Donate your time! Anyone is welcome and appreciated, to come visit with the flock, clean cages, help provide human interaction for the birds in need. It's a great way to experience various types of birds and help the Organizers by giving them time to complete other tasks needed to maintain this group.
We can always use newspaper to line the cages with.
Monetary donations are always welcome, as the cost of vet care, diet, supplies and continuing care of these birds are out of our own pockets, however, we can not give a charitable doantion receipt until we have a 501c certification.
